Katie graduated from Benedictine University with her elementary education degree (B.S. with reading endorsement), and the University of West Alabama (M.S. in school counseling). Katie has been an educator since 2004. She has taught several grade levels along with being a school counselor for 10 years. Katie has a deep passion for loving, teaching, and guiding children. God has been calling her for some time to step away from the public school system and He faithfully led her to Coram Deo Academy in 2023.
Katie and her husband, Chris, have been married since 2004. They have three children who keep them very busy with sports, family time, and serving together. They have been members of Coram Deo since 2016. She enjoys walking, reading, gardening, small group, and spending time with her family. Katie’s life verse is Psalm 139:17-18: ‘How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. I awake, and I am still with you.’”
Katie currently serves as the Principal and 4th Grade Teacher at Coram Deo Academy.
