Heidi Moran

Heidi was born and raised in Marion, Iowa, in a Christian home where her faith in Jesus Christ was established from an early age. As a senior in high school, she received a book from her church that emphasized the importance of using the gifts and talents God has given. Through reflection, Heidi recognized her natural ability to connect with and teach children. Although teaching was not initially the path she planned to pursue, she came to see it as God’s calling for her life. Heidi earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Iowa State University and later completed her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education while teaching second grade in the Bettendorf School District. She has since used her training across a variety of roles, including as a classroom teacher, stay-at-home mother, Children’s Ministry volunteer at Coram Deo Bible Church, and most recently as a library aide at Hopewell Elementary School. Heidi has been married to her high school sweetheart, Jim, and together they have three children: Helaina, Breleigh, and Easton. Their family has lived in the Quad Cities for 27 years and has been part of Coram Deo Bible Church since 2006. Heidi is grateful and excited to return to the classroom as a second-grade teacher at Coram Deo Academy. She considers it a true blessing to integrate her faith into her teaching and to walk alongside her students as they grow both academically and in Christ.
